Terms of Service

Effective date: 30 March 2026

1. About IRAC Coach

IRAC Coach (“the Service”, “we”, “us”) is an AI-assisted study tool operated at iraccoach.co.uk. It is designed to help students practise and improve their IRAC-structured legal writing (Issue, Rule, Application, Conclusion) for UK undergraduate LLB programmes, the GDL, and SQE skills practice.

By accessing or using IRAC Coach you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Study aid — not legal advice

IRAC Coach is a study aid only. All outputs — including scores, feedback, commentary, and model-style snippets — are generated for educational practice purposes. Nothing produced by IRAC Coach constitutes legal advice, legal representation, or a legal opinion. You must not rely on any output as legal advice, and we accept no liability if you do so.

3. Curriculum standards and academic integrity

IRAC Coach is intended to supplement — not substitute — your course curriculum. You remain responsible for:

  • Working within the learning outcomes and assessment criteria set by your module or institution.
  • Ensuring any use of this Service complies with your institution's academic integrity, generative-AI, and assessment policies.
  • Verifying that AI-assisted feedback aligns with your course's specific curriculum standards, as these vary between institutions and modules.
  • Not submitting any content generated by IRAC Coach as your own assessed work where this would breach your institution's rules.

We strongly recommend reading your faculty's published AI and academic integrity guidance before incorporating AI feedback tools into your revision workflow.

4. No liability for assessment outcomes

IRAC Coach accepts no liability whatsoever for any student's examination results, assessment grades, degree outcomes, academic progression, or any other academic or professional consequence arising from use of — or reliance on — the Service.

Feedback generated by the Service is probabilistic and may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. It is your responsibility to critically evaluate all outputs against your own course materials, reading lists, and tutor guidance.

5. Accuracy and no warranty

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without any warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that:

  • Outputs are accurate, complete, current, or error-free.
  • The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, or secure.
  • Feedback reflects the marking standards of any particular institution or examiner.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, IRAC Coach and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or academic opportunity, arising out of or in connection with:

  • Your use of or inability to use the Service.
  • Any reliance placed on outputs or feedback generated by the Service.
  • Any examination, assessment, or other academic outcome.

Where liability cannot be excluded by law, our total aggregate liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim, or £10 (ten pounds sterling), whichever is greater.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service in any way that breaches applicable law or regulation.
  • Attempt to circumvent any rate limits, access controls, or security measures.
  • Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit Service outputs without our written consent.
  • Input content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights or contains unlawful material.

8. Intellectual property

All software, design, trade marks, and content comprising IRAC Coach (excluding content you submit) are owned by or licensed to us. You may use outputs solely for your own personal, non-commercial study purposes. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of any intellectual property to you.

9. Account and data

If you create an account you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms without notice. For information on how we handle personal data, see our Legal & Privacy notice.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms at any time by posting a revised version at this URL. Material changes will be indicated by an updated effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute.
